Whiskey of America's First Cocktail
Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey embodies the rich tradition and history of New Orleans. Rye whiskey dates back to the 1800s, when saloons, often disguised as coffee houses, lined the streets of the city. At the Sazerac Coffee House on Royal Street, locals were served toddies made with rye whiskey and Peychaud's Bitters. This iconic libation became known as the “Sazerac,” America's first branded cocktail. This is the whiskey that started it all.
